Welcome and blessings
Many years ago, I experienced a transcendent moment when at a time of hopelessness I demanded of the universe, God, and the vast night sky that I be given something useful to do with my life. I was sick and tired of working so hard to merely survive , going through the motions to acquire fortune, fame and food. Life is surely more than merely going through the motions. I stopped being happy with merely surviving. I insisted upon thriving!
That was the beginning of my transition from hip Los Angeles technology queen to standing here as the minister and spiritual leader of this amazing Science of Mind community. We are one of hundreds of such communities all over the world with thousands of regular people such as you, modern day mystics and metaphysicians learning to live the life God intended us to live. A life of meaning, vitality, enthusiasm, love, fun and abundance. A life of freedom.
The Science of Mind is a philosophy, faith and way of life which ushers in profound personal transformation… awakening of consciousness within the individual. It is my goal to inspire, educate and empower every single person I meet to live from their spiritual center alive with the Spirit, experiencing increased power, poise and confidence in every area of their lives.
Perhaps even more importantly, I believe in the possibility of emotionally, physically and spiritually healthy communities. I believe in citizens who are informed and responsible, confident and passionate. Violence against ourselves, each other or the earth is unthinkable when we awaken and experience the unconditional presence of Love as the truth between all people. This consciously connected community, whether a family, a school, a town or the entire planet, understands our shared connection, lives together committed to the fulfillment of each community member and governs itself out of a deep and sacred respect for each other and the future. Conscious and creative individuals naturally participate in this vision of community.
That’s what the Raleigh Center for Spiritual Living is doing. I invite you to come thrive with us. Come worship with us. Come play, study, pray and meditate with us. Most importantly come and join this open, inclusive and loving group of people who are growing in numbers all over the world sharing this vision of awakened community. None of us ever have to be alone again.

Rev. Denise Schubert is an ordained minister of the United Centers for Spiritual Living. She graduated from the Holmes Institute in 2003 with a Masters in Consciousness Studies. Having served the Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles with Dr. Michael Beckwith, the North Hollywood Religious Science Church with Dr. Mark Vierra and the Bodhi Spiritual Center in Chicago under Rev. Mark Anthony Lord she has settled in as the Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Center for Spiritual Living in Raleigh, North Carolina.
